Meet Our Administrative Staff
Ken Lucy has been the Administrator of Allen Home Care Services, Inc. since the death of his sister, Roberta Lucy, RN, MSN in December 2020. Roberta and Dr. Terri Woods, RN, MSN, EdD had purchased the agency in 1997 when the founder decided to retire. Roberta had been in home health nursing for over 20 years before purchasing Allen Home Care Services; Terri was a faculty member in the nursing department at Southeast Missouri State University. Before joining Allen Home Care Services in 2002, Ken had been the regional director for a major national health non-profit, overseeing the organization’s fundraising, patient services and public health education for most of Missouri. He joined the agency as Operations Director, with supervision of the financial, human resources and marketing programs.
Mindi Higgins, RN, is the Director of Clinical Services for Allen Home Care Services, Inc. and has been the manager of healthcare services and the staff delivering those services since April 2019. Prior to becoming the Clinical Director, Mindi was a staff nurse with Allen Home Care Services, working on several private duty cases. She began with Allen Home Care Services in February 2012.
Tim Winborne joined Allen Home Care Services in August 2022 as the Operations Director. He also runs the company's human resources, media, and marketing programs. The son-in- law of Administrator Ken Lucy, Tim has spent most of his professional life in Christian ministry, serving as a pastor, worship leader and evangelist. His ministry now is as an itinerate minister.
Kacey Thurston is Allen Home Care Services’ Staff Support Services Director. Since joining the agency in May 2016, she recruits new nurses, coordinates credentialling as well as training and documentation for the field staff. She acts as a backup to the Field Services Director, a position she held when she first came to work for us.
Erica Heaton is the agency’s Field Services Director, in charge of scheduling the nursing staff with the patient families. Erica began with Allen Home Care Services in February 2025. She has quickly absorbed the many skills needed to keep nurses assigned to the medically fragile children and adults that we serve.
