Allen Home Care is a nurse-owned private duty nursing provider built around the belief that experienced nurses, dependable support, and personal relationships lead to better care at home. Since 1985, our RNs and LPNs have cared for medically complex children and adults while working closely with families, physicians, caseworkers, and other healthcare professionals. Every plan of care is shaped by the patient’s clinical needs and carried out with the professionalism, respect, and comfortable ease people deserve when welcoming a nurse into their home.

Our work is different from companion care or brief home health visits because our nurses provide focused, one-to-one skilled care throughout the assigned shift. That continuity helps nurses understand each patient’s routines, equipment, and needs while giving families a reliable partner they can know and trust. We stay present. We communicate clearly. We care for the whole family.

Our History

Quality Care Built on Lasting Relationships

Allen Home Care began in 1985 and opened the first private duty nursing case in Southeast Missouri, establishing a level of specialized care that families in the region had not previously been able to receive at home. That original case remains part of our story today, reflecting a continuity of service and long-term relationship that shape our care today.

As a nurse-owned private duty nursing provider, we have built our history by supporting nurses who stay, grow, and form lasting connections with the patients and families they serve. With an average nurse tenure of approximately nine years, Allen Home Care has become known for the stability, loyalty, and consistency that complex in-home care requires.

What We Do

Skilled Nursing Care Centered on One Patient

Our licensed RNs and LPNs provide continuous skilled nursing for medically complex patients, including children and adults who may depend on ventilators, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, or other advanced equipment. We follow physician-approved plans of care, document each shift, and coordinate closely with families, caseworkers, and health care professionals so everyone understands the patient’s needs. Care stays personal.
